AUSABLE RIVER CANOES - KAYAKS - FAMILY RAFTS - take your choice If you have not experienced the pleasure of this beautiful wild and scenic part of the AuSable (main branch) treat yourself. Great family fun. Make reservations early to insure your desired date. An inexpensive and fun all day family outing. LARGE FAMILY RAFTS now available that hold up to 8. Also large KAYAKS available - good for overnight trips. THANKS TO ALL OUR RIVER CUSTOMERS FOR A GREAT SUMMER!!!

WHAT SHALL WE GIVE THE CHILDREN - MIO, MI Family Vacation Cottage - like being at camp only better - and your undivided attention, love - long days to enjoy the river, woods, water - nights with campfires, smores, stargazing - memories to treasure - Home Away From Home - but without the work - just fish, swim, play, etc. Summer weekly cottage rentals begin June 11 and run until Aug 31. . Can't stay a week? Give us a call - if we have an opening will rent it for less than a week - summer long weekend or mid week -prefer at least 3 day reservation. Fully equipped kitchens plus barbecue grills & picnic tables for each cottage helps keep the costs of vacation down. We still have openings - maybe a special cottage just for you and your loved ones.
New for next year - the trails adjacent to the resort which were originally our cross country ski trails will be open next spring for hiking and biking - (no motorized vehicles) the U.S. Forest Service has resurrected the trails - they are all cleared and marked for your enjoyment - 3-4 -5 & 6 mile loops.

AUSABLE RIVER FLY FISHING ON THE MOST FAMOUS STRETCH - TROPHY WATERS - Wade or Fish from a canoe or your own river boat - we will spot your vehicle -- - trout Season opens April 30. Just a 5 minute walk from your cottage to the river for those hatches that make the trout jump. Fishing is now open year-round on this stretch of the AuSable - catch and release until last Saturday in April of 2012 - then possession fishing.
BIRDERS MIO, MI - home of The rare Kirtland's Warbler arrives mid-May. Tours began May 15 thru the local Forest Service 5 minutes away.
