WE'VE GROWN Hinchman Acres is pleased to announce the acquisition of Gott's Landing Canoe Livery and Trophy Waters Fly Shop. Steven and Kim Priestrap, the former owners of Gott's Landing, made the decision to sell earlier this year so they could spend more time with family. We wish them all the best! Please note the former Gott's Landing location has been converted to a family residence. All rentals and inquiries will be handled at the Hinchman Acres location. In conjunction with sprucing up the front office, we are building an addition for the Trophy Waters Fly Shop which we hope to have completed in May 2019.

DRIFT BOATS FOR RENT We now have 2 drift boats available for rent. A 17' Aluminum River Master and a 15' Fiberglass Hyde. Each will accommodate up to 3 people. The rental rate is $100 per day. If a car spot is required an additional fee will apply. Please call for availability. TROUT POND In mid April look for the pay-to-fish trout pond to be restocked with 9"-12" rainbow trout. The cost is $.60 cents per inch and the pond is only available to our resort guests.

WHAT SHALL WE GIVE THE CHILDREN - MIO, MI Family Vacation Cottage - like being at camp only better - and your undivided attention, love - long days to enjoy the river, woods, water - nights with campfires, smores, stargazing - memories to treasure - Home Away From Home - but without the work - just fish, swim, play, etc. Cottage rentals begin in April and run until Nov 30. Can't stay a week? Give us a call - We rent it for less than a week - summer long weekend or mid week - prefer at least 2 day reservation. Fully equipped kitchens plus barbecue grills & picnic tables for each cottage helps keep the costs of vacation down. We still have openings - maybe a special cottage just for you and your loved ones. The trails adjacent to the resort which were originally our cross country ski trails opened for hiking and biking last year - (no motorized vehicles) the U.S. Forest Service has resurrected the trails - they are all cleared and marked for your enjoyment - 3-4, 5 & 6 mile loops. Great for people who do not want to go far - want to enjoy nature and have small children. Maps available in office. There are individual campfire pits for each cottage. We sell wood or you can buy it in town.

AUSABLE RIVER FLY FISHING ON THE MOST FAMOUS STRETCH - TROPHY WATERS -(so named because of the trophy fish it produces) Wade or Fish from a canoe or your own river boat - we will spot your vehicle. Trout Season opens April 29. Just a 5 minute walk from your cottage to the river for those hatches that make the trout jump. Fishing is now open year-round on this stretch of the AuSable - catch and release until last Saturday in April - then possession fishing. BIRDERS MIO, MI - The rare Kirtland's Warbler arrives mid-May. Tours began May 15 thru the local Forest Service 5 minutes away.
